As I had suggested before try using a different video player.

And I can say with a fair amount of certainty that this is a software related problem and it should not have anything to do with the fact that you run Athlon.

Thanks, yes, a different player does work for movies etc. However, you can't configure IE to use that player for NBA.com or canucks.com as far as I know, so it doesn't solve my main problem...

I can't believe how difficult this is to solve!

Re:Windows Media Player Playback Problem - 2007/04/12 21:43 Well at least it means its wmp specific. I think you can configure quick time to play movies in your browser.

Oh and Have you ever considered Firefox?

Re:Windows Media Player Playback Problem - 2007/04/13 01:07 I have tried Firefox and get the same problem. And I am not sure how to configure either FF or IE to allow another player to come up for the sites in question. As far as I understand, the script for the page requires (how that works I have no idea) embedded WMP in order to view the content...

Re:Windows Media Player Playback Problem - 2007/11/13 02:53 Is it really true that I have stumped the tech staff at Boomers? This problem *still* persists, desptite not being a problem on my sister's ancient computer or those of my other friends!

As far as I can determine, the only difference is that mine is an Athlon and their are Pentiums. Surely there must be a better explanation, and more importantly,

DO I HAVE TO GO BACK TO MY OLD COMPUTER IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO WATCH THESE HIGHLIGHTS???

Please, will somebody think of the children!!

Solution, anyone?

Paul
